It is incredible to see what modern architecture is capable of.
Could you live in a home only 7.5 feet (thats only 2.5 meters!) wide?
I couldn't!
But I am truly fascinated by this home and what you can fit into a home so tiny in width!
Today I am sharing a Feature Friday Home Tour with a difference - especially when compared to last weeks Resort styled living home!
Would you believe this home in the south of London has four bedrooms, a study, a separate dining area and even a vege patch in the garden.
The sloping roof helps bring lots of light and air into the home - the main challenge when designing this recent renovation. With no side windows, the roof was the only option to bring light into what was a dark and gloomy home. The home falls over three levels with skylights used over the internal stairwell to help filter the natural light into the lower floors.
The internal exposed brick a reminder of the history of the home, a brilliant contrast against the new renovation.
What do you think of the exposed brick?
I love the contrast between the rear and front of the house. From the front of the street you would never imagine that it would open up onto a beautiful garden and be so light filled.
ARE YOU MIND BLOWN?
COULD YOU IMAGINE LIVING IN SUCH A SMALL SPACE?
I would love to know what you think of this home tour.
I am truly intrigued by small space living. I hope you loved it too!
If you live in a small space, then here are 10 commandments you must know about - think storage, colour, wall space and clutter free!

Have a brilliant weekend. Anything exciting happening? x
My mind is blown. What an amazing use of such a small space! There is no way I would imagine a place with that many rooms would be hidden behind that façade. I love the use of exposed brick against the white of the rest of the house too. Personally I couldn't live there as the narrowness would make me feel claustrophobic - I need a yard!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I could have written that tash - it is exactly how I feel. Although if I was living in London, this would be a good option :) x
DeleteI love tiny houses and are so fascinated by them! I definitely think I could live in a tiny space like this......you would however hope for lots of nice weather to also have the great outdoors as another living space
ReplyDeleteOh yes, so true! Perfect if you like a minimalist lifestyle! x
DeleteI couldn't, not with a husband and 4 kids! But I love the idea!
ReplyDeleteYou would need to be a minimalist to live in such a tiny house! I love the exposed brick. I think I would become claustrophobic without more space. It would be a little like living in a tunnel to me.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is a different way of living - a tunnel is exactly how it looks. Lucky they have added some skylights and more natural light and warmth, otherwise it would feel very sterile. Thanks for stopping by x
DeleteWow! That is incredible, I LOVE it! I would so live there! We live in a house that is only 80 square metres and it can be challenging!
ReplyDeleteWow, 80m2? That is incredible (and yes challenging!). My home is about 130m2 and it drives me bonkers and I have had to add some great storage options to combat the size. You are a super mum! :)

ReplyDeleteI would love living in a small space...but not with kids. My house isn't small but sometimes when the kids are loud my walls cave in anyway. I do love watching Tiny House Hunters!
ReplyDeleteI have only just discovered in Karin and am loving it! It fascinates me that people can live in such small spaces. So minimalist. Not my style, but I take my hat off to them! :)
DeleteWow! It seems very well organised and renovated. It's clever! cathy
ReplyDeleteI could def see myself living in that home it has everything you need and it has been beautifully fitted out. I love it
ReplyDeleteIncredible use of space and light isn't it! If I lived in a city, then this would be fab! :)
DeleteIf there is enough storage I could give this a go. Amazing how you can develop a house around a small footprint
ReplyDeleteI love the exposed brick, that room would be so much warmer than the others. Great house tour, such a deceptive one! xx
ReplyDeleteOh wow. That place is incredible. Its like a cubby house on glamour steroids lol xx
ReplyDeletehaha I love that - exactly what it is. Not the place to bring up three rowdy boys, but definitely something cool!
