Life Lately June 2016

June has come and gone with a blink!
Officially in the second half of the year now. I truly believe each year goes faster and faster!

Being a Summer lover, June was a quiet one for me. Lots of afternoons indoors, baking and making, cranking up the heater and snuggling with Mr Coopar.

I am not looking forward to the next eight weeks, Winter seems like the season that never ends. The last two winters I escaped to hotter climates, Hawaii last year and Fiji in 2014. It is a shame I wasn't a little more organised this year. Sipping cocktails in the heat sounds amazing right now...

As I sit here and type, my ugh boots are keeping my feet warm and although lovely and sunny outside its below 20 degrees here on the Gold Coast. For anyone that lives in QLD, you too can sympathise - that's cold!! :P

Here is a snapshot of June...

Feature Friday: Newport Beach Reno

Hello! If you’re new to my Feature Friday posts this is where I love to show you inside real homes. I know you are going to love this home, it's a newly renovated beauty on Sydney's northern beaches...

I love seeing a before and after transformation.

When serial renovator and interior designer Leanne posted on Instagram that she had recently finished renovating her home I wanted to know and see more. In under a year, Leanne and her Husband bought, renovated and are now selling their home in northern Sydney's beachside suburb of Newport. It was the home that no body wanted, the house in the best street and location that needed some TLC, that they snatched up at auction last July.

In this time, blood, sweat and tears have been shed as they transformed this tired 1980's brick home to a coastal, open plan retreat.
With five bedrooms and three bathrooms, two living areas and numerous outdoor living and entertaining spaces this home would have been a massive project to tackle and transform. But today you will see for yourself, the amazing transformation and perhaps learn a thing or two from this serial renovating duo!

Feature Friday: Home on the road

Home and life on the road - the adventure that never ends.

Endless Adventure
Wandering
Discovering
Exploring
Experiencing

Would you live life on the road?

My Mum is currently doing the retired grey nomad thing. She left the Gold Coast in February, heading south to explore the coastline of NSW, VIC and SA, before heading up into the dessert as the weather turned cooler. She has been living life in a motorhome and plans to do so for nine months of this year. She will be home for Christmas and no doubt will have stories to tell!

It is something she has always wanted to do, explore this great big beautiful land of ours. I am so glad she is doing it and living that dream. One thing that she found hard though was downsizing, to fit life inside four walls and learn to live compactly! I thought it might be a little fun to do something differently today for Feature Friday and show you how people live life on the road, instead of traditional brick and mortar homes.

Lets take a peek at some motorhomes that people call home...

The Grove Byron Bay and Villa Styling

You may remember me posting a little while ago that I had a design crush on Louise of Villa Styling

When some photos of her latest photo styling shoot popped up in my facebook news feed I was smitten with the looks she had recently created and photographed. Not only is Louise a fabulous stylist, but she is the photographer too!

The location of this shoot is The Grove Byron Bay.
Beautiful holiday retreat accommodation, nestled in the hinterland, minutes from Bangalow and Byron Bay. My old stomping ground and home town.

Louise was collaborating with Driftwood Interiors (artwork) and Coca Mojo (cushions) in this photoshoot.

The Grove Byron Bay makes the perfect backdrop doesn't it?

dreamy boho style

Did you catch my heart to heart chat with Yen over on She Loves To Make last week?
You may have learnt a little more about me if you did pop over for a read! You would have learnt that I do have a '9 - 5' job and blog and get creative after hours. I love being creative and what I enjoy most is getting lost amongst my feathers, beads, soft leathers and vintage doilies. I love making one off dreamcatchers and baby mobiles.

Made with love + intention each dreamcatcher is made one of a kind + unique, to cultivate inspiring dreams while you sleep.

I was busy making and being creative last weekend and here are some of my newest creations which you can browse via my online Etsy Store.
