....you know you are in for a treat!
Today I am so excited to share with you the beach house of a very lovely lady. 'Casuarina Cabana' belongs to Kylie, I love following Kylie's daily snaps of her tropical beach style on Instagram and admiring her gorgeous cushion range - The Coastal Cushion Company (think tropical, coastal, Hamptons and nautical!).
Kylie is a fellow Gold Coaster who is lucky to have a beach house at Casuarina on the Tweed coast.
Casuarina Cabana is a beach house with a relaxed coastal vibe, with the house's open plan layout creating an embracing feel.
Only 50 meters to the beach pathway, you can't get much closer than this. Nestled in coastal bushland, the flat board walks will take you to this slice of beach paradise. What untouched beauty...what do you think of this?
The beach house is the perfect place to eat, beach, sleep and repeat. The open plan living opens out onto an undercover alfresco area, just imagine sitting there and enjoying the sounds of the ocean. Bliss!
Kylie was so kind to share with us today, a little more about herself and her gorgeous Tweed coast beach house Casuarina Cabana...
Kylie, tell us a bit about yourself, as well as Casuarina Cabana and your loves!
My hometown is Brisbane and I have lived on the Gold Coast for 10 years. I have always loved the Tweed Coast area from early days and thrilled to be able to own a home there. My loves are renovating, 12 houses over 20 years, interiors, coastal and relaxed not fussy style and I like moving things around and changing styles and painting.
When did you purchase the beach house?
Two years ago
Can you tell us a little more about the renovations you recently completed?
I completed the whole interior and exterior renovation in 3 months with 15 tradesmen that I project managed. I had my vision 12 months prior and stored everything in my home ready for Casuarina Cabana.
What do you love most about visiting Casuarina Cabana?
The haven you feel upon arrival and hearing the waves from the house.
How would you describe Casuarina Cabana in one word?
BLISS!
Describe your style?
Relaxed interiors, not fussy, welcoming, unique
Your inspiration for the interior of Casuarina Cabana?
I had my vision for a long time and would do mood boards and heaps of lists.
Favourite room?
Really every room because I designed the whole house, but the kitchen is a winner!
Biggest splurge and indulgence?
New Kitchen and bathrooms.
You will notice all the divine cushions in the home - many from Kylie's own range. These tropical green palm prints are some of my favourite!
I love the combination of old and new. Vintage Hawaii surf art, glass floats and a unique one off aqua cupboard. Beach house perfection!
Kylie has nailed the beach house vibe - with lots of texture, colour and indoor plants. The oars are custom for Casuarina Cabana, made by local coastal extrodinaire Lisa of Oars Galore. So special and unique!
One of my favourite features in the beach house - Kylie's stroke of genius with this open storage in the master bedroom's ensuite. Shelves and hooks make up the open storage. Such a brilliant idea. Perfectly styled here too!

Kylie has done such a fabulous job with the recent renovation, creating an open plan relaxed vibe. It is so important with a beach house to get the perfect balance of colour, texture and coastal decor. It has been done so tastefully in this home - with fresh and modern kitchens and bathrooms and complimentary living, bedroom and bathrooms. They all work so seamlessly together.
