On The Block, their consistent style saw Kingi and Caro’s apartment repeatedly score high each week. Their ‘scandustrial’ themed apartment from the most recent series of the show was a style we had not seen on The Block before.

If you did, then this unique apartment will be one you will recognise. The Mater Prize Home lottery has snapped up the apartment and it is the latest prize home on offer.
Its located in the hip and happening suburb of South Yarra in Melbourne, nestled amongst cafes, green spaces and culture.
What makes this apartment block unique though is the floor plan.
Octogon in shape, I have never seen a layout like it. The lift opens up onto your living and dining areas, with the bedrooms and bathrooms opening off an octogon hallway area. Very different!
You will find rendered beams on the ceiling of the master bedroom, graffiti inspired artwork on the walls, 360 degree views of the Melbourne skyline, digital touchscreen splashback in the kitchen (yes you can shop online from your splashback and its wrap around balcony! It is an entertainers delight.

It certainly is something unique. I am not sure I would find the graffiti artwork dark heavy rendered finishes relaxing. But I certainly can appreciate their unique style and bravery to do something different for The Block judges!

Wow! It looks amazing. I love the bath and the view. We didn't watch the block this time around. Too much drama for me :)
ReplyDeleteWe don't watch the block, The Builder has banned it in our house, though I will sneak in an episode here and there :) This apartment does look amazing though, very impressive.
