What has been making me smile

Want to know what I have been up to this week?

|| Buying ||

We had been thinking of buying a new lounge for months now and then last year the boxing day sale came along and I found one that I loved...it had a massive price tag and was in a shop in Sydney. It wasn't going to happen! Couldn't even convince Hubby to do a roadtrip to go lounge shopping (just a quick 10 hour trip:P ) So I compromised and bought a lounge at half price, that was only 15 minutes away. Hubby was easier to convince and it was purchased and now I have been patiently waiting for it to arrive and yesterday it did! Yay! It is charcoal in colour, I wanted a light grey but it didn't come in that unfortunately. So charcoal it is. Now I have been pinning like crazy looking at Scandi Beach House's with charcoal lounges. Come on over to take a peek here. I listed my old lounge for sale on a second hand site on Sunday morning and within two hours someone had paid and collected it - bonus! I then needed a lounge to be able to watch The Block room reveals on Sunday night, so we maneuvered the outdoor rattan one inside to be a temporary one. It was kinda fun, like moving house and moving the furniture around. It was also a great excuse for a spring clean. Seriously ladies, check under your lounge it gets dirty and very dusty trust me!

                                     || Eating ||
This indulgent cheesecake. Trust me you will be running to the shops to buy the ingredients to make this one, its a winner!

|| Smiling About ||

I was so chuffed to log on to my Instagram this week and discover two new followers - both Instagram accounts I absolutely love and I really admire the fellow interior and home enthusiasts behind the accounts. The first, Katrina Chambers from The Block 2011 series and secondly, Amity Dry the winner from from 2013 The Block All Stars series. Amity is building a new home and has drawn the plans up which I have been swooning over, pop on over and have a peek here

|| Watching ||

Safe Haven. I sat down to watch it last night and was so captivated at how ridiculously good looking of a couple these two are! Then I wanted to get my hair cropped off to even look like the actress. Then I found out that it was produced by the same Producer from The Notebook and Dear John. Now I know why I liked the movie so much!  They have to be some of my favourite girly flicks! Are you too a fan of these movies?

|| Writing ||

I put pen to paper and wrote a letter to Pip from Meet Me At Mikes as part of her #52hellos project. The idea behind the project is to slow down, write a handwritten note, send it to someone you love or care about to simply say 'hello I am thinking of you'. I used to write letters weekly to my pen friends and family when I was little. I still have a big box full of all these letters and they are so precious to me, especially the ones written to me by my late Nanna. Anyone else love receiving snail mail? I do!!
