What I've been planning / admiring / writing this week. My week in rewind!

A gallery wall for my living room.
My new lounge purchase has now turned into a living room redecorate. It feels great and I am loving refreshing this space. We have lived in our home for just over two years now and done a major reno and refresh. So it feels like time for another change and I am even adding a few autumn touches (think sheepskin rug, a chunky knitted throw, new cushions and a few warmer tones!). I know, your probably thinking it doesn't even get cold on the Gold Coast, but I consider anything below 20 degrees freezing so I have to be prepared for the autumn chill on its way!!

I am admiring and taking loungeroom inspiration from Ish & Chi. Seriously how amazing are these blues, greens, whites and patterns teamed with that gorgeous leather pouffe!
Oh I am in love!
|| Writing ||
You may remember I wrote about taking part in the #52hellos project? The idea behind the project is to slow down, write a handwritten note, send it to someone you love or care about to simply say 'hello I am thinking of you'. Well I sat down and wrote letter to Pip, which she shared with her readers and you can read it here.
So that's whats been happening here in my world.Now I off to shovel 6 cubic meters of mulch around my garden with the Hubby. There is always something to do! Then it will be time for a shower and we are heading down to Palm Beach for a street food festival. They are closing Fifth Avenue Palm Beach from car traffic and it is becoming the setting for a massive street party, al fresco dining under the stars and a free outdoor performance. Cool huh?

I think that as soon as you have greenery, pattern, wood and leather in a room I'm simply going to love it! I love that gorgeous side table in your first photo too. Enjoy doing your room reno!! x
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely. I am the same - add a touch of greenery and leather and I am sold!! Hope you are having a fab weekend!! x
DeleteI love nothing more than when a new piece of furniture becomes the perfect excuse for a whole room makeover ;) xx
ReplyDeleteI just adore the look of that room. My hubby headed to sea for a month last week and I'm hoping to redecorate our bedroom before his return. Just not sure where to start and scared if I head over to Pinterest for inspiration, I will fall down the rabbit hole in a big way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous living room. Redoing spaces is so much fun. The researching, purchasing and playing/decorating is so satisfying don't you think? Simply gorgeous. Good luck and we can't wait to see the finished product. Jx
