Yvette
was so kind to tell us a little about herself, her style and home.
Yvette, it’s so
lovely to have you here with us – tell us a bit about yourself, as well as your
blog and business!
I'm a busy Mum
of two teens and a six year old. I am the author and owner of The Stylist
Splash blog and shop that sure does keep me busy. I like to support local
business, promote brands by styling their products and I love fashion, healthy
cooking and shopping.
I have been following
your blog for some time now and love seeing your home and gorgeous style. What
do you love most about your home?
I love that my
home has enough open space that we don’t all get on top of each other. I
also love our pool that sure does get a work out in Summer.
What does the word
home mean to you?
A place where our
family comes together and unwinds, relaxes and a place where you can be just
you.
Describe your style?
I like lots of
different styles, contemporary and on trend is what I like the most.
Your inspiration?
I love reading
magazines and blogs for inspiration.
I love following
stylist and other creatives on Instagram and get a lot of inspiration
from Pinterest too. Also just being in your current surroundings there is
inspiration everywhere, like walking the dog in the park and picking a few
leaves and flowers you can get inspired.
Favourite Room?
My bedroom. A
place where I get to fully relax and escape the everyday.
Biggest indulgence?
In a purchase do you
mean, probably a few of my handbags like my Jimmy Choo or Louis Vuitton
purchases.
Proudest DIY moment?
My $9.95 waste paper
baskets from Ikea turned upside down to make kitchen pendants.
What do friends say
when they visit your home?
What’s new that I
haven’t seen yet?
Favourite places to
shop for home decor and furniture?
So many that I don’t
particularly favour one, I like to support local when I can.

What I love most about Yvette's style is that she is not afraid to play with colour, texture and have a bit of fun with combining cushions and soft furnishings. Here is a snapshot of Yvette's gorgeous light filled master bedroom in seven combinations! It's hard to choose a favourite, but I do love the deep blue tones and love the top left, or bottom right.
What about you?
ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH YVETTE'S HOME LIKE ME?
Isn't it fun to see so much colour and patterns!

ReplyDeleteThanks Mel, it truly is a beautiful home! Thanks for stopping by x
DeleteSuch a stunning home inside and out!
ReplyDeleteI know, the pool area looks fabulously relaxing and I would love to rest my head on those pillows in the master bedroom each night! x
DeleteAwww thanks so much Ashlea, this is such a great write up. I really appreciate all the love and support. Have an awesome weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvette for letting me share your home with my readers! My pleasure x
DeleteThat is gorgeous. I'm guessing the kids don't keep their bedrooms in such good order every day, but nonetheless I would be so proud to be able to provide gorgeous spaces like that for my kids.
ReplyDeleteGael wouldn't it be nice if bedrooms looked like this everyday - we can only dream right?!Clothes are my letdown, I can't keep putting them away quick enough. I had to take a sitting chair out of my bedroom as it started to become the clothes dumping ground hehe! Thanks for stopping by x
DeleteWow I love Yvette's home, such a great idea about the pendant lights over the kitchen. Thanks for the INSPO! went a bit 'pinning' mad to save this inspo for later ;)
ReplyDeleteOh this is like home porn - I just love everything about Yvette's style!
ReplyDeleteDropping 'down the rabbit hole'
I love Yvettes home and her pics always make me swoon xx
ReplyDeleteSo much to love but I think my favourite would have to be the outdoor room and pool. I could see myself with a magazine just chilling out there. Of course the kids would be at their grandparents. :)
