Feature Friday - a beautiful country setting!

 I posted earlier in the week that I had a special property to share with you for Feature Friday. It has had me excited all week, I can't wait to hear what you think, I would love you to leave me a comment below! 

When I stumbled on this home on Realestate.com it had an appeal, oozed character and I fell in love with it's rustic charm. You could imagine sitting in the sun, taking in the views, children playing on the lawn, garden parties or family BBQ's at this home. There is something about its extensive use of timber features, timber battens on the exposed walkways, the barn doors and the neutral colours used in this home. It makes you feel relaxed and at home. I wouldn't mind residing here that's for sure...

I love the term Queenslander. My state of origin is New South Wales, but now living in Queensland I must admit I am calling it 'home'. There is something about the Queensland spirit, determination and loyalty. I am not talking the State of Origin Football here, I am just talking about the true blue Queensland Aussies you meet. I will never forget Anna Bligh's words that day as she stood in front of the nation describing the devastation of the Brisbane 2011 floods, she said

"We’re the people that they breed tough, north of the border. We’re the ones that they knock down, and we get up again". 

Feature Friday - House Rules Winners Adam & Lisa

Did you watch the Grandfinal of House Rules?

Victoria’s Adam and Lisa took home one of television’s biggest prizes, their entire $526,000 mortgage paid off! The engaged couple took out the House Rules win after beating WA’s Carole and Russell in one last renovation challenge – to transform a secret room in each other’s homes. The judges then scored the rooms (which were a bar and a spa area for both teams), with those scores then being combined with a public vote to determine the winner. They worked hard throughout the series and were labelled as the dark horse several times. Today's feature Friday is a flashback to some of the rooms they created.

Feature Friday - A weatherboard home in the heart of Byron Bay

I love looking at real estate and pondering over beautiful homes, their layout and design. Sometimes looking for inspiration, sometimes just day dreaming and sometimes to see how people live. I have recently featured some homes here on my blog and I got lots of requests asking for more features! I featured a Palm Beach coastal glam home, a House Rules reveal and two gorgeous beach shacks. Today I am kicking off Feature Friday with a home I have admired for a long time. I grew up in Byron Bay and would love to wander past the homes in Kingsley Street, which is right in the towns centre and features beacutiful heritage homes that have been renovated and given some TLC. Its one of the most sought after streets in Byron Bay. This home resides in Kingsley Street and was recently listed for sale for offers over 3.5 million dollars, that some serious cash!! 

What I love about this home is the multi levels, the grey weatherboard contrasted with the white trims, the stone and picket fences and the spacious living area that links to the outdoor entertaining area. Come and step inside and see for yourself!

Feature Friday - A Palm Beach home with a Glam, Coastal feel!

Today I am sharing with you an amazing home renovation in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast.

This home has undergone an amazing transformation and is the ultimate coastal retreat. This home belongs to my Sister and was some of the inspiration behind my blog name 'Glamour Coastal Living'. Both my sister and I share a style we call 'Glamour Coastal'. Its a combination of coastal, Hampton, glamorous - its us, our homes and our style. Both our home renovations reflect this style!

This home has come along way since my Sister and her husband purchased it in June 2012, its transformed from a 1970's styled brick home to an open plan, bright and airy, modern home. The before and after pictures are incredible and I am so excited to share those with you today!
